Facilities Manager - Driver

The Facilities Manager/Driver, maintains and oversees the company’s grounds, buildings, equipment and vehicles to ensure that the workspace is safe and functional. Their duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates.  The Facilities Manager/Driver is responsible for providing safe transportation for PACE participants in a timely, competent manner and communicating important information relevant to the overall care plan to the interdisciplinary team.

  • Cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces as well as the condition of company vehicles.
  • Performs routine maintenance in the facility and vehicles by either repairing or coordinating repairs.
  • Schedules routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
  • Ensures proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
  • Maintains day-to-day operations of facility and all company vehicles by completing maintenance orders.
  • Creates reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
  • Prepares facility for changing weather conditions.
  • Collaborates with upper management on budgeting for facility/vehicle needs.
  • Transports in a safe manner participants to and from the Day Center on each day they are scheduled to attend, in compliance with ND Department of Motor Vehicle licensing regulations and local statues.
  • Provides physical assistance to each participant when needed and they board and disembarks from the program’s vehicles.
  • Ensures that emergency medical information is available for those participants being transported.
  • Maintains the first aid kit in the vehicle, replacing supplies as they are used or become outdated.
  • Ensures that all passengers wear safety belts and wheelchairs
  • Transports in a safe manner participants to and from the Day Center on each day they are scheduled to attend, in compliance with ND Department of Motor Vehicle licensing regulations and local statues.
  • Provides physical assistance to each participant when needed and they board and disembarks from the program’s vehicles.

Employment Specifications:
 
Education/Experience:  High school diploma or GED and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience managing facilities and fleet vehicles.
 
Special Training:  Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVA and other building systems. Proficiency with repair tools and techniques. Excellent  communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and participants.  Good time management, organization and prioritization abilities.  Efficient problem-solving skills and great attention to detail. 
 
Licensure, registry or Certifiction: Must have a valid class D license with a clean driving record.
 
Physical Demands:  Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable sitting, standing or walking for along periods of time.
